Our Story
Hey there, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Steph, the heart and hands behind Flor and Found. This shop is really a mix of everything I’ve loved and carried with me over the years.
Growing up, I spent hours wandering thrift stores and swap meets with my Nana. She had this way of finding things that felt special, even if they were tucked away on a crowded shelf. She would pick things up, turn them over, and somehow just know they had a story. That way of seeing things stuck with me.
At the same time, I have always been drawn to making things with my hands. I have been a soap maker on and off for over 15 years. It is still very much a part of me.
A lot of that comes from my connection to herbs and the botanical world. I have always been fascinated by nature and its ability to heal, comfort, and slow things down. That is actually where the name Flor comes from. It felt like the right way to ground this space in something natural and meaningful.
Flor and Found grew out of all of that.
Here, you will find a mix of thoughtfully sourced vintage and slowly evolving handmade goods. I am drawn to pieces that feel timeless, that have character, and that add something to everyday life. Not just things that look beautiful, but things that feel good to live with.
Lately I have been especially inspired by simple, slower rituals. Mornings at home, setting the table, cooking something small and comforting. That is what led me to egg coddlers and the kind of pieces you see here. They turn everyday moments into something a little more special.
I am based in southern Arizona, where the sun is strong, the days are slow, and wine country runs deep. That lifestyle has definitely shaped the way I see home and how I want things to feel.
I am also a military spouse, which has given me the chance to travel and source pieces from different places along the way. Every move, every stop, has added to this collection in some way.
Nothing here is mass produced. Everything is chosen or created with care, with the hope that it finds a home where it will be used, loved, and lived with.
If you love vintage, appreciate handmade, or feel connected to slower and more intentional living, I think you will feel right at home here.
Thank you for being here, it really means a lot.
Steph
